About Us

Hi, We're the Team Behind Go Morocco Solo

We live in Morocco, and we built this site because most solo travel content about this country falls into one of two traps, overly cautious fear-mongering that makes Morocco sound more dangerous than it is, or vague “wanderlust” posts with pretty photos and zero actual planning help.

Neither of those helps you if you’re sitting at home trying to figure out whether it’s actually safe to walk through the Fes medina alone, what visa rules apply to you specifically, or how much cash to bring for two weeks.

Why a Local's Perspective Matters

We're not writing this from a hostel during a two-week trip. We know Morocco's cities, its transport systems, its seasons, and its quirks because we live here year-round. When something changes, a new visa rule, a price shift, a safety concern in a specific area, we know about it before it shows up in outdated blog posts written years ago and never updated.

What You'll Find Here

This site focuses on the practical side of solo travel to Morocco, the planning, safety, and logistics questions that matter most before and during your trip:

  • Honest safety guidance for solo travelers, including solo women
  • Visa and entry requirements by nationality
  • Real, current budget breakdowns
  • Transport logistics, trains, grand taxis, buses, airport transfers
  • City-by-city guides built for travelers on their own, not tour groups
